The Royal Society funds around 700 Research Fellows at any one time. Our Fellowships fall into the following categories:
Dorothy Hodgkin Fellowships- support excellent scientists at an early stage of their career for up to four yearsEducation Research Fellowships- provide outstanding educationists with the opportunity to build an independent research career in STEM educationJSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship Program - provides opportunities for early career researchers from the UK to conduct research in Japanese institutions Newton International Fellowships- attract the world's best early-career researchers to the UK for two years University Research Fellowships- provide outstanding scientists, who have the potential to become leaders in their chosen field, with the opportunity to build an independent research career. Funding is available for up to 8 years.
Leverhulme Trust Senior Research Fellowships- Allow scientists to concentrate on their research by relieving them of teaching and administrative duties for a year Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Awards- Provide a five year salary top-up to attract or retain outstanding scientists Royal Society Research Professorships- Provide ten years' funding for internationally recognised scientists
