The Board discusses the Society’s strategy and policy and financial, human resources and information technology matters. It also discusses and makes recommendations on papers to be considered by Council.
The Board is chaired by the President and comprises the Officers and Executive Director. The Directors for History of Science, Finance and Operations, Public Affairs and Science Policy Centre are also in attendance. The Board meets the day before each Council meeting in February, April, May, July and October and has an additional meeting in January. It also meets the week before Anniversary Day Council.
