Priorities
The Society’s five strategic priorities are effective from 2007-2011.
In 2007 the Society adopted five strategic priorities to focus our efforts and to ensure that our contribution to shaping the future of science in the UK and beyond has a deep and enduring impact.
- Invest in future scientific leaders and in innovation
- Influence policymaking with the best scientific advice
- Invigorate science and mathematics education
- Increase access to the best science internationally
- Inspire an interest in the joy, wonder and excitement of scientific discovery
As the Society’s 350th anniversary year comes to an end, we are planning a new strategy to direct us through the next five years and beyond. The Society’s new corporate plan will be put in place during 2011 and will be based on consultation and participation with Council, the Fellowship, staff, and other parties interested in the work of the Society.
