Fostering international collaboration

The Royal Society Joint Project programme, which includes The Royal Society Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation Joint Projects', provides mobility grants for researchers to cover travel, subsistence and research expenses. Collaborations are in any area of natural sciences and are based on bilateral projects between established research groups in the UK and abroad.
Martin Rees, President of the award said: International collaboration is a crucial part of science. Our goal with the International Project Grant scheme is to help smooth that process. With the support of the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation we will be able to help bring together the best UK and Japanese scientists".
The first Royal Society Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Joint Project
programme awards will be made in autumn 2007.
