History of science exhibition from the library and archives of the Royal Society.
Although he is best known for his Nonsense poetry, Edward Lear (1812-1888) began his career as a scientific illustrator. This display of nineteenth-century natural history books showcases Lear's illustrations produced for Fellows of the Royal Society.
