This joint project between the Royal Society, Academy of Medical Sciences, British Academy and Royal Academy of Engineering explored potential enhancements arising from advances in science and engineering that are likely to impact on the future of work.
The report from a workshop which brought together policy-makers with leading experts from across engineering, science, social science, the humanities and industry was published in November 2012.
The speakers at the workshop provided an overview of a range of potential enhancements arising from advances in science and engineering that are likely to impact on the future of work. Attendees also discussed the associated opportunities and challenges that may arise from these developments.
The workshop was the first example of these four academies combining their expertise to consider the policy implications of developments in a diverse range of research fields.
