Annual Royal Society's Industry Fellows' networking event

This event will bring together past and present Industry Fellowship holders and invites leading figures in industry and academia to address some of the major issues affecting collaboration between science and industry.

The theme for this event is ‘translational research’ with various sessions to allow participants the opportunity to discuss issues, concerns and successes in this area. 

The event will include case studies from current Royal Society Industry Fellowship holders and a keynote presentation from science entrepreneur Dr Hermann Hauser FRS. There will also be a panel discussion, Chaired by Dr Simon Campbell FRS with the following contributors:

  • Dr Will Barton, Head of Manufacturing at the Technology Strategy Board
  • Dr David Docherty, Chief Executive, National Centre for Universities and Business
  • Mr Tim Holt, Executive Director, Fraunhofer UK Research Ltd
  • Professor Paul O’Brien, Head of School of Chemistry, University of Manchester and Founder & Scientific Advisor of Nanoco Ltd.
