Subject support packages

Teachers who are part of the Royal Society Schools Network can apply for one of our subject support packages. These are packages of resources and/or training to support day-to-day teaching, the cost of which will be covered by the Royal Society.

Subject support packages have been sourced through the learned societies and subject bodies within the UK who provide resources for teachers in biology, chemistry, computing, mathematics, physics and primary science. These resources are designed to support your everyday teaching, and provide practical activities, approaches or information for specific subjects.

In this pilot year we are limiting each school or college within the network to one application for a paid package. We will support as many applications as possible whilst funds allow, but please be aware that we may not be able to support all applications, dependent on demand. Every school or college within the network can access as many of the free packages as they like.

You can access information on all the packages via our application form, which will be live here in the autumn term of 2018.

You will be asked to provide your school or college name and postcode, and the level you teach (primary or secondary). You can then choose the subject you would like support with.

There are a limited number of support packages available, and applications for them will be awarded on a first come first served basis. All packages awarded will be paid for by the Royal Society direct to the package provider.

If you have any questions, please contact the Education Outreach Team.
