Oracy-rich activities: case studies for classrooms and Partnership Grants
The Royal Society has commissioned a rapid literature review by Bath Spa University focused on the scientific literacy and oracy landscape for primary science education in the UK. The review made recommendations for the Royal Society and stakeholders in the sector in relation to embedding scientific literacy and oracy further into the curriculum for primary science education. Read the full review.
To support teachers to embed more, and high quality, oracy-based activities into their lessons or Partnership Grants projects, the Royal Society has produced this document of case studies from schools and colleges that have been awarded a Partnership Grant. The case studies have been selected from real-life Partnership Grant projects which have featured oracy-rich activities, which have been highlighted, expanded and developed in this document. This resource aims to provide clear, straightforward activities for teachers to copy, adapt and implement into their lessons.
