Close race for the winner

09 September 2009

The odds for the winner of the 2009 Royal Society Prize for Science Books have been declared - and it's a close race to the finish.

Bookmakers William Hill say it is very difficult to rule anything out and to find a clear favourite - so they are placing joint favourites Bad science and The age of wonder at 3/1. Close behind are Your inner fish at 7/2; What the nose knows at 4/1 and just behind at 5/1, both Decoding the heavens and The drunkard's walk.

The winner will be announced on the 15th of September 2009 at the Royal Society.
