4D Computer Vision for Real-world Dynamic Scene Understanding

Scheme: Wolfson Research Merit Awards

Organisation: University of Surrey

Dates: Aug 2013-Jul 2018

Summary: A central challenge in creating seeing machines is the understanding of complex everyday scenes with moving people, animals and other objects. Advances over the past year have led to the introduction of the first computer vision techniques capable of capture and reconstruction of general scenes. This is an important step towards modelling and measurement of people and animals with applications in healthcare, robotics and the creative industries.
