Research summary

Over the past few years, organic inorganic halide perovskites were found to present remarkable optoelectronic properties. A great attention has been paid to perovskites thin films, as an ideal building block for photovoltaic and light emitting diodes (LED) devices. My current assignment is to understand the local optoelectronic properties of such materials thanks a confocal microscopy experiment. These properties are then compared to the ones of spin coated polycrystalline perovskites films that are readily used in device prototypes. This comparison is useful to extract the intrinsic properties of the perovskites crystals, and can be adapted to many types of perovskites materials for different applications.
