Professor Ian Dryden is a Professor of Statistics and Head of the School of Mathematical Sciences. He holds a Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award. His research interests include: shape analysis; object data analysis; high-dimensional data analysis; image analysis; and applied statistics. He has authored over 120 papers and a well-cited monograph on Statistical Shape Analysis. He has been PI and Co-PI on grants from EPSRC, BBSRC, NSF, Leverhulme and Royal Society worth £15M and has supervised 24 PhD students.
