"Given the Royal Academy of Engineering is charged with working with the Royal Society to increase diversity across STEM, the meetings provide an ideal opportunity to share good practice, keep up-to-date with developments and where possible, collaborate.
The Academy diversity team has worked on and has knowledge of a number of initiatives to increase diversity in engineering - and beyond e.g. the London Engineering Project, developing internal diversity implementation strategy, disability in STEM, SET Fair Standard process and achievement, Engineering Diversity Concordat, best practice pilot projects, the National HE STEM Programme (in particular the widening participation and outreach elements)– to name but a few."
