Professor Mark Rees

Biography

Mark is a professor in the Department of Animal and Plant Sciences at the University of Sheffield where he studies plant population biology. He’s a particularly interested in the application of mathematical and statistical approaches to ecological and evolutionary problems. 

Mark has served on several editorial boards and in currently a senior editor at Journal of Ecology. He has also served on ACRE (Advisory Committee on Releases to the Environment) and NNRAP (Non-Native Risk Analysis Panel).
