Simone Severini has been a Royal Society University Research Fellow in the Department of Computer Science at UCL since October 2011. He arrived in London in September 2009 as a Newton International Fellow.  Previously he was a member of the Institute for Quantum Computing and the Department of Combinatorics & Optimization at the University of Waterloo in Canada. With over hundred peer reviewed papers, he has contributed to initiate a number of new lines of investigation at the interplay of Physics, Information Theory, and Discrete Mathematics.
