Summary: Interactions between individuals can lay anywhere on the continuum from peaceful cooperation to all out violence. My work aims to show how social evolution theory provides a framework for explaining this variation, across all organisms ranging from bacteria to humans. I am particularly focusing on cooperation, altruism and spite in bacteria and humans.
