Professor Yongfeng Men

Research Fellow

University of Bradford

Research summary

Yongfeng Men is an experimental polymer physicist interested in structural evolution in polymeric systems, especially semicrystalline polymers. By using mainly scattering (X-ray and neutrons) techniques, he is currently investigating crystallization and deformation mechanisms in polymers. He is an awardee of the Newton Advanced Fellowship of the Royal Society (co-applicant: Professor Phil Coates FREng) at University of Bradford since September 2015. The main topic of his Newton Advanced Fellowship will be Structural Processing of Polymers.

Grants awarded

Advanced processing physics of micro molding and die drawing of polymers for control of properties

Scheme: Newton Advanced Fellowship

Dates: Sep 2015 - Aug 2018

Value: £111,000
