Royal Mail stamp design exhibition as part of the London Design Festival
Event details
Producing artwork that will work at stamp size is a unique challenge for creative professionals.
The Art in Miniature trail is a chance to see how designers have solved the problem of creating art for the smallest of canvasses. The stamps commemorating the Royal Society’s 350th anniversary in 2010 will be on display outside the Society on Carlton House Terrace as part of this London-wide trail.
Curated by Hat-trick Design as part of London Design Festival 2012, the trail celebrates the miniature masterpieces of Royal Mail stamp design at special locations across the capital.
Attending this event
The exhibition runs for the duration of the festival, 14 -23 September. Additional pieces will be on display inside the Society on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September, when the Royal Society participates in Open House Weekend 2012.
