Event details
Keith Moore is Librarian at the Royal Society.
Most of us are familiar with Charles Darwin and other leading naturalists of the 19th century. But many less well-known scientists donated their work to the Royal Society's Library, including printed books, manuscripts and illustrations. This introduction to the archives of Francis Bauer, Henry Bowman Brady, Robert Newstead and others will aim to discuss what their paintings, books and papers can tell us about their owners' lives and working methods, and will show some of the beauty of their science.
