Event details

The satellite meeting will host presentations and discussion of the latest scientific developments in sea ice observation, model simulations, theory, and impacts on weather and climate. This would also include the polar ocean and atmosphere as they are affected by sea ice. The purpose of this meeting is that it offers a more informal forum for discussion among scientists.

Attending this event

This is a residential conference, which allows for increased discussion and networking.  It is free to attend, however participants need to cover their accommodation and catering costs if required.

Call for posters - deadline 12 September

Participants are invited to submit a poster for this meeting, which features a dedicated poster session. To submit a poster for inclusion in the programme please email a title, 150-word abstract and authors to the Royal Society events team: kavli.events@royalsociety.org

Participants are also encouraged to attend the related scientific discussion meeting which immediately precedes this event.
