New technologies and new theories are emerging to enable a scientific approach to studying face to face social interaction. This meeting brings together research in neuroscience, psychology, computer science, linguistics, anthropology and evolutional biology to share different ways of studying face-to-face interaction, discuss common challenges and possible solutions, and thus to define the future of this growing field.
