What's on
2 – 7 July 2024 | 6 – 9 Carlton House Terrace, London, SW1Y 5AG
This year's exhibition promises excitement for all ages and all curiosities: the programme is more diverse than ever, with each day offering something unique.
Alongside our 14 main exhibits, which are available all week, visitors can enjoy a packed programme of talks and hands-on activities presented by Royal Society funded projects, researchers, and partners.
We open with an adults-only Lates event on sports science on 2 July, where you can learn about the impacts of a ball to the head or hear about Paralympic medallist Stef Reid’s relentless pursuit of excellence in sports. During the week (3 – 5 July), visit the Young Researcher Zone to meet the school students researching how yeast could help to find a cure for human diseases or how are snowdrops related.
Plus, experience Luke Jerram’s Mirror Moon artwork up close, where you can feel and touch every crater, valley, and mountain, or watch a rice-popping machine in action. On the weekend of 6 and 7 July, there will be plenty of activities and hands-on demonstrations for inquisitive young minds to experiment with.
