Royal Society Publishing Photography Competition: the greatest pictures
This event is part of the Royal Society's Summer Science Exhibition 2026.
The Royal Society Publishing Photography Competition, which enters its eleventh year in 2026, celebrates the power of photography to capture scientific phenomena, and the role that great images play in making science accessible to a wide audience.
Drop in and bask in an array of beautiful images, set here to a soothing soundtrack and captured by all of the past winner of the competition, which is supported by The Royal Photographic Society.
Representing the categories of Astronomy, Behaviour, Earth Science and Climatology, Ecology and Environmental Science, and Microimaging, the stunning photographs will inspire, amuse and move you in equal measure.
Attending the event
This event will be held in Theatre 2 at the Royal Society on Friday 3 July 2026, 10am – 11.15am.
