Creating Connections - North East

In September 2018, the Royal Society hosted a round table discussion at the Centre for Life in Newcastle. This Creating Connections event aimed to catalyse discussions on how the collective impact of different types of employer and HEI support for schools and colleges could be harnessed in the North East.

Through a series of workshops and round-table discussions the two day round table encouraged leading scientists and experts from industry, academia, and local government to share their perspectives on supporting R&D in the North East and the region’s role in driving UK innovation and prosperity.
