Consultation response: digital skills inquiry

12 January 2016

The Royal Society has responded to the Science and Technology Committee’s call for evidence for the digital skills inquiry.

The Science and Technology Committee’s digital skills inquiry was set up to examine the extent of the digital divide and digital exclusion, the impact on the economy and whether government initiatives in this area are sufficient.

The Society’s response highlights the importance of digital skills to the economy and discusses the role of collaboration, diversity and education in addressing the UK’s digital skills gap.
