The UK National Academies - the Academy of Medical Sciences, the British Academy, the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Royal Society - have written to the Commons Home Affairs Committee in response to their inquiry into immigration, highlighting the need for the UK's immigration policy to support the UK to be one of the best places in the world for research and innovation.
