The Royal Society has made a supplementary submission to the Review of Post-18 Education and Funding in light of recent speculation in the media about potential outcomes from the Review.
This letter from the President of the Society, Sir Venki Ramakrishnan, highlights the importance of STEM skills to the UK's future and calls for the review to very carefully consider the possible impact of any changes to the post-18 education and funding system on both the numbers and demographics of people who take up STEM.
