Welcome to the judging panel resources page.
Send us your updates, pictures, book reviews and anything else and we’ll post it on the Scribbles blog for all the Judging Panels to see.
As well as content from the Judging Panels, we’ll be posting news and updates, author interviews, special events and activity ideas for your judging panels.
Ask the author
This is your Judging Panel’s chance to ask the shortlisted authors anything they want!
We'll ask the authors to answer the most popular questions when we interview them over the summer, so get your questions in fast!
Post us your question for each author in the Ask the Author section on our Scribbles blog, tweet us @royalsociety using the hashtag #YoungSciBooks or send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Remember, the best questions get answered by our authors, so send them in!
This gives your panel the opportunity to win book tokens prizes (1st Prize £500 book vouchers, 2nd Prize £250 book vouchers, 3rd Prize £100 book vouchers) for their group and to be featured in a film shown at the Prize’s award ceremony in November.
The criteria for entries is shown below.
- Maximum length of 3 minutes
- The video should include shots of the judging panel at work, positive comments from panel members about each shortlisted book and an announcement of the winner chosen by that panel.
- The winner will be the best video, as chosen by the Chair of the Shortlisting panel. The decision will be based on the creativity shown in the making of the video, to encourage unique and different ideas, and the clarity of the video in getting the information across.
To enter the competition simply complete the online form and follow the instructions.
