Welcome to the judging panel resources page.
Send us your updates, pictures, book reviews and anything else and we’ll post it on the Scribbles blog for all the Judging Panels to see.
As well as content from the Judging Panels, we’ll be posting news and updates, author interviews, special events and activity ideas for your judging panels.
This is your Judging Panel’s chance to ask the shortlisted authors anything they want!
We'll ask the authors to answer the most popular questions when we interview them over the summer, so get your questions in fast!
Post us your question for each author in the Ask the Author section on our Scribbles blog, tweet us @royalsociety using the hashtag #YoungSciBooks or send us an email at sciencebooks@royalsociety.org. Remember, the best questions get answered by our authors, so send them in!
This gives your panel the opportunity to win book tokens prizes (1st Prize £500 book vouchers, 2nd Prize £250 book vouchers, 3rd Prize £100 book vouchers) for their group and to be featured in a film shown at the Prize’s award ceremony in November.
The criteria for entries is shown below.
To enter the competition simply complete the online form and follow the instructions.
If you’re looking for inspiration, take a look at last year’s award ceremony film.

This includes all of the information you need to run a successful Judging Panel.
Book review sheets. Print off as many copies as you like for your group.
Short of posters, or want to spread the word further? Print out extra copies of the shortlist posters and review posters for your panels.
For fun activities ideas, keep an eye out on our Scribbles blog. Over the summer we will be posting details of simple activity ideas for young people both for the classroom and at home, inspired by our shortlisted books.
Throughout the year we like to run events inspired by the Young People’s Books Prize. Find details of all our events.
We'd love to hear from you. If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to get in touch at sciencebooks@royalsociety.org or on 0207 251 2242.
