2019 Science on Stage festival, Portugal

The next European Science on Stage festival will take place in Cascais, Portugal at the end of October 2019.

Selected teachers and technicians from each country come together for an international festival every two years to present their teaching approaches and projects to others from across Europe. They make up the Science on Stage network, sharing good practice and teaching ideas to help raise the overall quality of STEM teaching.

UK teachers and technicians can apply to be part of the UK delegation to attend the festival by filling out the form below.

Science on Stage UK: 2019 application form

Please complete your application in full by 11:59pm on Friday 16 November 2018

There are four sections to this application form:

  1. Permissions for information collected
  2. Your details
  3. Details about your teaching approach/project
  4. Details about how you would use the opportunity if chosen

You can start an application form and keep returning to it until you click the submit button at the end of the form.

Applications will be reviewed by the Science on Stage UK National Steering Committee. Delegates will be shortlisted to represent the widest range of good practice activities underway in the UK, considering subject, school age and engagement level. The Science on Stage UK National Steering Committee will be in touch by December 2018 to let applicants know if they have been shortlisted for the UK delegation.

For chosen delegates the cost of accommodation, entry to the festival and meals is covered by Science on Stage Europe. The cost of travel to and from the UK to Portugal will need to be funded, but it is the intention of the UK National Steering Committee that funds will be sought to cover these for the delegates, although this cannot be guaranteed.
