The award
The Royal Society Environment Medal and Lecture is a new addition to the Royal Society’s suite of prizes and awards and will be running for the first time in the 2024-2025 awards cycle. The medal is of bronze and will be awarded annually and will be accompanied with a prize lecture and a gift of £2,000.
Eligibility
The Royal Society Environment Medal and Lecture is open to citizens of the UK or a Commonwealth country, or those who have been ordinarily resident and working in the UK or a Commonwealth country for a minimum of three years immediately prior to being nominated. It is open to individuals or teams at any career stage and nominations will be considered by the award selection committee throughout three nomination cycles.
