Professor Claudia de Rham
Imperial College London
Claudia won an ERC Consolidator Grant in 2017 to carry out her project on gravity and cosmology. Her research has pioneered a radical theory that could hold the key to why the universe is expanding and explain the nature of dark energy. The grant has led to 20 publications so far and over 50 research talks. She has also participated in many public interviews and events with the BBC and New Scientist.
Receiving this grant has enabled Claudia to join committees, grant review panels, chair fellowship and editorial boards and be involved in an extensive number of public engagement events. Many of these activities would not have happened without the award.
