Cabinet Office & OST: Regulation of biotechnology in the UK

This statement considers the regulatory structures pertaining to activities in biotechnology in the UK. It recommends that the Government address the improvement of communication and co-ordination between Government departments involved in the regulatory process and the use of an overarching body, to which specialist advisory committees would report, to take a broad overview of developments and concerns related to biotechnology.
