- better coordination of education policy for the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors;
- building capacity in the science teaching profession; and
- the development of the UK undergraduate degree system to meet Britains needs during the next few decades as it strives to become a major knowledge-based economy.
The submission also outlined the Societys ongoing and future policy work in this area, and its various projects and schemes that support teaching and learning in schools and colleges, and foster high-quality academic research careers among excellent individuals.
