Advice on GCSE Mathematics

This is a briefing paper which draws together its advice and expertise on GCSE Mathematics from a variety of position statements, policy reports and consultation responses. It is believed that there should be greater in-depth mastery of mathematical ideas and concepts at Key Stage 4 rather than the addition of extra content. Assessment of students at the higher end of the grade range should focus on in-depth mastery of the Key Stage 4 curriculum.
