The Royal Society has responded to the ongoing triennial review of the Research Councils. This Government exercise is part of its scheduled review of all non departmental public bodies (NDPBs). The reviewers are tasked to identify and examine the key functions of the Research Councils; to assess the requirement for these to continue; and to examine the standards of corporate governance within the Councils.
