Ahead of the General Election on 8 June, the UK’s National Academies have written to Party Leaders, highlighting the value of research and innovation in driving UK growth and productivity.
The letter from the Presidents of the Royal Society, Royal Academy of Engineering, Academy of Medical Sciences and British Academy calls upon the next Government to send a bold, positive message that the UK is one of the best places in the world to research and innovate and ensure that the world’s brightest and best entrepreneurs and researchers - at home and abroad - can contribute their skills to Britain’s success.
This follows on from recommendations the National Academies made in their joint publication Open for Business.
