Guns, Germs and Steel on TV
15 December 2008Our 1998 General Prize winner, Jared Diamond's Guns, Germs and Steel, has now bene adapted to a three-part documentary for television. In the UK, it screens on the History Channel from 9pm on Monday 15 December 2008.
Jared Diamond has won the Royal Society Prize for Science Books twice - in 1992 and 1998 for The Rise and Fall of the Third Chimpanzee' (Hutchinson Radius) and Guns, Germs and Steel' (Jonathan Cape), respectively.
