The Royal Society published a report on food security in this week’s Philosophical Transactions B. Each of the 21 papers from the report Food Security: Feeding the world in 2050 are available online, visit Guardian.co.uk for a write-up of the story.

The new Royal Society anniversary exhibit Super Science! starts this week, on Tuesday (17 August) at Redbridge Museum. Family friendly workshop Shipshape Science Summer Fun! takes place at HMS Belfast on Saturday (21 August) and a new exhibit of plankton images by Royal Society University Research Fellow Dr. Richard Kirby is on display at the Scottish Seabird Centre until the end of August. The twice weekly Summer Science Club at Thackray Museum is also underway, taking place every Tuesday and Thursday until 26 August.

There are also a number of other events taking place this week, including the walking tour The Royal Society at Somerset house on Sunday (22 August) and the Wit Works lectures which take place on Friday 20 and 27 August at Bodleian Library
