Tomorrow's giants

01 July 2010

The Royal Society anniversary Discussion Meeting ‘Tomorrow’s Giants’ today explores the future of science, looking into questions such as how to enable academic achievement of the highest quality, what science might be like in 10 and in 50 years time, and what its main goals and challenges could – or should – be.

The meeting brings together scientists and policy-makers to examine and analyse the future of science, with a focus on three major themes: data, careers, and measuring and assessment.

The conference consists of parallel sessions, a keynote speech, feedback sessions and a panel discussion, and is organised by the Royal Society in partnership with Nature, and supported by the EP Abraham Cephalosporin Fund.
