In this lecture we explore all ‘Things Nano’. Professor Paul O'Brien reveals the origins and definitions of nanoscience and nanotechnology, addressing the so called ‘Bottom-up’ and ‘Top-down’ approaches. Discover current examples of nano-synthesis and discuss the ideas influencing our perceptions of the area, as well as the potential importance of technologies based on nano-dimensional objects.
