Dr Pedram Asef is a Lecturer of Advanced Electrical Machines at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering Sciences, University College London. His research interests are Electrical Machines, Electric Propulsion Systems, Electric Vehicles, Electrified Powertrain Development, Electric Drives, Applied Mathematics (i.e., Optimisation and Machine Learning Methods), and Energy Systems. He is a member of the Advanced Propulsion Lab. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), a Chartered Engineer (CEng) registered by the Engineering Council, and an Endorsed Researcher by the Royal Academy of Engineering, in the UK. He is an IEEE Senior Member, recognised internationally due to his contributions to the profession. He is an active member in several national and international conferences in the field.
