Professor Aled Edwards FRS

Aled Edwards is a biochemist at the University of Toronto whose current research focuses on the application of structural and chemical biology at genome scale, and its implications for drug discovery.  Aled founded and leads the Structural Genomics Consortium, a public-private partnership that places all its research output into the public domain, without restriction on use. 

Aled received his BSc and PhD from McGill University, and carried out post-doctoral studies at Stanford University.   He is Temerty Nexus Chair of Health and Technology at the University of Toronto and is an Officer of the Order of Canada.
