Dr Alejandro Gonzalez Voyer

Research Fellow

University of Bath

Research summary

The research in Dr. Alejandro Gonzalez Voyer’s group aims to gain better understanding of how behaviours and morphological traits evolve, as well as how species richness accumulates and the factors that drive it. To address these questions we mostly employ phylogenetic comparative methods using diverse taxa as model systems. The Newton Advanced Fellowship will allow Alejandro to work in collaboration with Prof. Tamas Szekely, University of Bath, and Dr. Gavin Thomas, University of Sheffield, to study the factors that influence differences between the sexes in parental investment, also known as sex-roles.
