Research summary

I am a mathematical physicist working on geometric, algebraic and category theoretic problems related to quantum field theory. My current primary interest is on the rigorous description of quantum gauge theories by using novel techniques from homotopical algebra. On the one hand, these developments have a great potential to lead to transformative results in axiomatic quantum field theory, in particular in the modern framework called locally covariant quantum field theory. On the other hand, they will establish strong connections between quantum field theory and the recent developments in derived (algebraic) geometry, in particular the theory of derived stacks and their deformation quantisation.
