Debbie Morgan

Debbie holds a national role as Director for Primary Mathematics at the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM). She has previous experience as a primary teacher, headteacher, mathematics local authority advisor and senior university lecturer in mathematics education. Her current responsibilities include overseeing the work of the 40 Maths Hubs and providing advice and expertise to the DfE. She is also the maths consultant on the BAFTA award winning BBC TV programme ‘Numberblocks’. Her doctorate focused on the development of primary teachers’ mathematics subject knowledge. In 2020, Debbie was awarded a CBE for services to education.
