Joysy John MBE is an entrepreneur, educator, software engineer, and innovation consultant. Joysy is the ex-Director of Education at Nesta and ex- Chief Industry Officer of Ada, the National College for Digital Skills. She was awarded an MBE for services to the technology sector and nominated as Top 100 Most Influential Black Asian Minority Ethnic leaders in UK Tech. She was appointed by the Department for Education (DfE) to the Edtech Leadership Group and by the Welsh Government to the expert panel on Schooling Reimagined. She currently serves on the DfE’s Edtech Evidence Board Advisory Group. She holds a Computer Engineering (Honours) degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and an MBA with Distinction from London Business School. She is a school Governor, Fellow at Salzburg Global, Trustee at Voice 21, and Committee member at BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT.
