Research summary

In our research in Cellular Systems Biology, we are using a combination of detailed computational models and laboratory experiments to study the inner workings of biological cells. We are expecially interested in how outside signals get propagated through the cell, how the cell is organised architecturally, and how these two aspects influence each other. This has an impact on cancer research, as in many tumours, both the spatial organisation of the cell and some of its signalling cascades are disrupted or overactive.
