Kieran leads the national network at STEM Learning – an organisation working to achieve a world-leading Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education for all young people across the UK, so benefitting them, their communities and the UK economy. Working with schools, colleges and employers of all sectors and sizes, STEM Learning drives forward UK STEM education by providing high-impact, STEM-specific professional learning for teachers, role models via the STEM Ambassador programme, support for STEM Clubs, and other high-impact STEM activities.


Prior to STEM Learning, Kieran worked for a variety of commercial and not-for-profit organisations leading national education reform programmes with governments globally, including in the UK, Rwanda and Brunei. He began his career as a secondary school mathematics teacher in Manchester with Teach First. Kieran holds a Masters in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Educational Leadership. 


Kieran is passionate about improving educational outcomes for all, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, and enabling these young people to be enthused by the opportunities and importance of STEM. He is a Non-Executive Director of GLF Schools, one of the largest Multi-Academy Trust in England, and also a Trustee of the Costa Foundation who funds schools in low-income coffee growing communities globally.
