Research summary

My research group, is, and will be, paving the way to the introduction of magnetic quantum effects in spintronics, to the detection of single magnetic objects with currents, to the time-resolved study of electron-spin interactions and to the control of nanomagnets (and thus of the spintronic devices) via external stimuli. All these results are important to the creation of novel low-consumption electronics and logic units, and this applicative direction will be investigated in the next few years. My study covers both the fundamental scientific questions of these problems and the development of applicative devices. This is made possible by my multidisciplinary approach, which combines a background in physical and synthetic chemistry with a strong experience in experimental physics, nanofabrication and theoretical modeling of nanostructures.
